Every community deserves the opportunity to create outdoor spaces where everyone can experience the simple pleasure of spending time by the water. For many people, a visit to the beach is simply part of life. A walk along the shoreline, the sound of the waves and time spent with family and friends are experiences many of us rarely stop to appreciate. For others, those same experiences can remain just out of reach. Across the world, communities are beginning to look beyond traditional ideas of accessibility and focus instead on creating opportunities for everyone to participate in the places and experiences that bring people together.
